Heveske are very proud to showcase their first built project, a two-storey extension to an attractive weaver’s cottage in Pennine Yorkshire. This smart extension to the side of the existing cottage was required by the client to replace an existing single storey extension housing a study and cloak room and conservatory.
The two-storey replacement extension would accommodate a new bedroom over the study and cloakroom. The existing conservatory has been replaced with a new double height space enclosed by a hybridised aluminium and timber glass curtain wall system. The new bedroom was fitted with a balcony that protrudes into the double height space providing the building’s owners with commanding views of the surrounding Yorkshire hillsides through the double height element of the extension.
Heveske provided a full design service during the early phases of the project procured the on site build of the project using a partnering contract.
